starting with Judo at the age of 6 I came to running at the age of 12 while hiking first time in austrian alps. Since then I passionately explored long distance running and found my love with trail running. Enjoying nature, mountains and extreme environments keeps me alive and smiling every single day. Running means to me celebrating birthday on a daily basis!
Luckily my job offered me a huge variety of projects and new running routes across our green planet. From east to west. From the endless mountains along western coast of Turkey towards the scenic greek Islands, windy beaches in southern Spain, green and rainy forrests between Porto, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela, wet and muddy mountains in the Highlands of Scotland and Wales, steep Swiss alps and silence of Jura in Winter, bizarre and technical peaks in italian Dolomites, to my beloved Allgäu in the german alps, the beautiful baltic coast of my birthplace Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, up to amazing wilderness in the canadian Rockies and the extreme biodiversity of Costa Rica and the Caribbean Islands.
A trip to Chile in 2015 with the impressive experience of seeing the melting “Grey-Glacier” and my recent project in North-Norway strengthened my wish to create more awareness for the climate change. Consequently in summer 2018 the idea of organising a charity “Climate Trail” on Sørøya was born.
Following the wind 50 runners from all over the world will cross the island from south to north in small teams with the goal of fundraising at least 100.000 EUR to support global climate initiatives and create memorable moments.
